Waiting on the world to change, Can be, quite disheartening, So I, placed a bet on you and me, Well I'll, change my little corner, And then, take on new challenges, Won't forget, to slow down, Enjoy the scenery. Still what would I know, About the way the world chooses to turn? Turn. If I led this place, well, People would want me to burn. Burn. Hmmm.. I find it hard, Just to, stand on my feet, Because I, tend to get so carried away. So what would I know, About keeping someone else happy? I can be too critical, Or over-sentimental and sappy. Mmmmm... ..mmmm. I've been thinking about, Some kind of change, I've been thinking about, Some kind of change. Sitting on a seat, At the, railway station, And I, wish someone would sit next to me, Because I'm, battered and bruised, By my own, shortcomings, And a, healthy dose of misery. What would I know, About what the future might hold? I thought the sun was hot, It turns out that it's cold. Mmmmm... ..mmmm. I've been thinking about, Some kind of change, I've been thinking about, Some kind of change. I've been thinking about, Some kind of change, Mmmm.... mmmm. I've been thinking about, Some kind of change, I've been thinking about, Some kind of change. I've been thinking about, Some kind of change..

She made hard lessons worth it, When my heart wanted to cry, When my head was feeling broken, She made my spirit fly, She made, she made my spirit fly, When my heart was feeling broken, She made my spirit fly. Well, you could run around all day, Trying to find your way, But when you're still blind, What you gonna see, any way? She, she made my spirit fly, She made, she made my spirit fly. You could have your say, If you go and find your way, But who's gonna listen to you, At the end of the day? She, she made my spirit fly, When my head was feeling broken, She made my spirit fly. She made hard lessons worth it, When my heart wanted to cry, When my head was feeling broken, She made my spirit fly. She made, she made my spirit fly She made, she made my spirit fly.

The songs you're singing, well, they could be on the radio, But you don't care, you'd rather take your life, just slow, You've got nothing in your pocket, But you sing about the things you find, You've got no friends, But you've got a little peace of mind. So find a little, paradise in the garden, Down in the park, or, on the ocean shore, When you can find, beauty all around you, Who could ask for any more? They say you've gotta change, 'Cause they say it's not good for you, But you don't know, What they want you to do, They say you've got to find some kind, of shiny crown, Sounds to you like they only want to hold you down. So find a little, paradise in the garden, Down in the park, or, on the ocean shore, When you can find, beauty all around you, Who could ask for any more? The songs you're singing, well, they could be on the radio, But you wander here and there, Like a vagabond with seeds to sew, You've got nothing in your pocket, But you sing about the things you find, You've got no friends, But I know you are a friend of mine. So find a little, paradise in the garden, Down in the park, or on the ocean shore, When you can see the beauty all around you, Who could ask for any more?

You've been walking, for oh so long, Even the memory, of why you're, walking's long gone, You feel you'll let go, That you can't toe that line, I'd like you to know that, we think, You're doing just fine. When you fear your light is dimming, And every empty word feels strained, You fear you've fallen, one too many times, Please take my hand and try again. A simple kindness will do, It won't always see you through, But you just might find a smile, When you're giving out smiles. Don't judge a heart cold or warm, Because a heart changes form, A simple kindness will do, A simple kindness might do. Time sits still, The weeks drift by, Forever changing, Like the sky, Showing contrast, Your colour and tone, Sometimes blue, Set like stone, Sometimes stormy, And sometimes grey, But in my heart, You'll always stay. So when a storm blows in, And your fire goes out, And you're only feeling pain, Don't let it seem too complicated, Take my hand and stand again. A simple kindness will do, It won't always see you through, But you just might find a smile, When you're giving out smiles, Don't judge a heart cold or warm, Because a heart changes form, A simple kindness will do, A simple kindness might do.

Her heavy eyes held a secret, Her mouth unlikely to tell, She no longer felt worthy, Yet she still felt worthy of hell, We spoke into the morning, And as the windows were lit by the sun, We'd been talking for hours, And yet the real talking finally begun. She said, 'It's kind of like the frost on the window pane, I'm trying to see clearly, I fear I'm going insane, And as the light scatters, I wonder was it all in vain, Was it all in vain?' Stop, for just a little while, I'll try to make you smile, As we pass on by, Forget, the way the world seems, It's only nightmares and dreams, Keeping those illusions alive. Something swinging like a melody, Reminds me of the nature of life's uncertainty, Something moved me like a memory, Swelling up inside, a new found sense of urgency. Do I even know the meaning of success? I feel I'm crawling, but I hope I'm making progress, Or maybe I just need to learn to settle down, Settle down. Stop, for just a little while, I'll try to make you smile, As we pass on by, Forget, the way the world seems, It's only nightmares and dreams, Keeping those illusions alive. Something swinging like a melody, Reminds me of the nature of life's uncertainty, Something moved me like a memory, Swelling up inside, a new found sense of urgency. I hear the blues in your voice I confess, I think it's time for us to address, The hidden reasons keeping us down, What's keeping us down? Those ideas in our mind, we like to idealise, But we don't leave much room for doubt. Those footprints faded now, Still we don't realise, That's not what it's all about, no. Something swinging like a melody, Reminds me of the nature of life's uncertainty, Something moved me like a memory, Swelling up inside, a new found sense of urgency. Something swinging like a melody, Something moved me like a memory, Something swinging like a melody, Something moved me like a memory...

Set Us Free 03:00
Their hands are bloody, and their angry eyes are red, They haven't listened to what, everyone has said, Still they want to fight some, holy war, The world has seen it all, a million times before. And we don't need, nobody, nobody to set us free, Try to balance love with lady liberty. Don't they know that they can't force love on anyone? I doubt they'll find it, through the sight of their gun. We don't need, nobody, nobody to set us free, Try to balance love with lady liberty. When you find a flower, You want to bring it back to me, When all hope seemed lost, You've brought it back for me. And when the world seems cold, Don't you know you light my way? I wouldn't want to leave that untold, And I don't want to walk astray. When you found a flower, you brought it back to me, When all hope seemed lost, You brought it back for me. And we don't need, nobody, nobody to set us free, Try to balance love with lady liberty. Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody...

I've seen your shiny lights, but, I've seen the moon. So keep your synthetic stars, I won't be coming back any time soon. I just need a dim light, And I'll keep it way down low, Only for me and my piano. I used to believe my words, Could, help the world to see, But as a matter of fact, I was lucky they even saved me. So I need a hiding place for me to go, Only for me and my piano. I won't try to impress with music, or lyrics any more, Trying to please you became an unhealthy chore, It's time to rekindle an old relationship, And let it grow, It's time for me and my piano. It took me time, to realise mistakes I've made, And I can't afford, to just blindly serenade, It's getting late, And it's time for you to know, It's time for me and my piano. The beauty's back, to where it once begun, Before I knew a note, Before any song was sung, Learning to hear, and listen just so, Only me and my piano, Only me, Only me, Only me, and my piano.

Don't cry, hold your tears, Although I'm going away, I'll live on, In your hearts, You'll think of me someday, And all I want to see, Is you smiling back at me, That's all I want to see, So I won't trust my words, With the work of my eyes, Please set your eyes on me, And don't cry. You taught me how, Soft hearts can pull, Pushing through the cold, And how the years, Keep rolling on, Blink twice and we'll grow old. But all I want to see, Is you smiling, back at me, That's all I want to see, But I still cry. Lately I've been chasing solitude, Moving to, change my attitude, Boost my gratitude, Or fix my broken mood. And when you look for love, Find a friend, that is a key, So use your soul to see, And don't cry. I've let you down, I've worn a frown, Since you passed away, But you live on, In my heart, I thought of you today, Still all I want to see, Is you smiling back at me, That's all I want to see, But goodbye.

Sleepwalking 04:32
Out sleepwalking in the night, I hope I'm dressed and wearing white, A lost soul with no true destination, I failed another lover's probation, To wander aimlessly through moonlight. Rivers of delusion, Oceans of confusion, Searching like an old soul, Seeking out an ancient goal, Trying to decipher, Phrases of a lighter way, To find the day. Maybe when my eyes aren't tired, Maybe when my head's not wired, It'll fade away, I don't know why I have to rhyme, Question all of space and time, Meditate and pray. Out sleepwalking in the night, I hope I'm dressed and wearing white, A lost soul with no true destination, Failed another lover's probation, To wander aimlessly through moonlight. How I got here, Is a mystery to me, I found refuge, In the arms of this tree, Walk in semi-slumber, Feelings that I'm under, Make sense of total nonsense, Can't understand a word I say. Maybe when my eyes aren't tired, Maybe when my head's not wired, It'll fade away. Piece together memories, I'm holding my car keys, My thoughts are slippery thunder, Emotions that I'm under, Don't cease, to tease. My mind will have to find peace, Before it can piece together, The treasures it's hidden away. I don't know why I have to rhyme, Question all of space and time, Meditate and pray. Problems beyond all we see, Yet children solve them naturally, Incomprehensible, not quite sensible, But I don't want to be, Out sleepwalking in the night, I hope I'm dressed and wearing white, Dawn is finally breaking, My heart is truly aching, I find it quite surprising, The sun again is rising, Out sleepwalking in the night.

William 03:51
Please don't love me, if you feel like it's your duty, Prisons are built with stones of law. If you love me, please don't be proud or jealous, That's not what true love is for. Darkness comes, and my energy seems to die, And the angels have gone, Leaving us, to cry, but remember, William friend in eternity, Your eyes have seen what mine have seen, Men with bound desire, Passion that takes you higher, Like a divine comedy, And a spiritual tragedy, One that forces humility. A dream for all people, One where all are equal, William friend in eternity, Your eyes have seen what mine have seen. Won't you help me cultivate my understanding, Find that mystical bliss within. Please don't love me, if you only want to judge me, Not everything is a sin. When our thoughts no longer race, And the world, Becomes impossible to face, remember, William friend in eternity, You felt the same extremes as me, Lows beyond all sadness, All kinds of crazy madness, William friend in eternity, You felt the same extremes as me. Creeping skeletons cause issues of melancholy, But I'm not seeking some sickly rose, If you love me, please don't try to control me, I'll show you, you're the one I chose.
